The North American Screaming Eagles are proud to announce the return of the North American Challenge!
This years tournament will feature the best competition in North America for the 1993, Minor Bantam, age division. Once again this tournament will only accept teams of the highest caliber.
As one can tell, with the aforementioned teams, this will be the toughest tournament of the spring of 2008, with no free rides into the quarters. We will have a five game guarantee with 3 – 15 minute stop time periods. Championship Sunday will have an “A” pool and “B” pool series. At this event we live by the adage "YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE!". The teams attending this tournament are the best of the best so apply early if your team wishes to compete!
Last years quarters, semis, and finals featured very tight competition. All participants received a gift package from our sponsors and enjoyed a great weekend of hockey. All of our on ice officials are actively pursuing a refereeing career and gave us the very best officiating seen at any tournament. The Seymour Hannah Arena is a World-Class facility and is a fantastic place to host our tournament. We are excited to be there for 2008!
The Challenge will be held in St. Catherines, ON, Canada at the Seymour Hannah arena from May 30 – June 1, 2008. This is a state of the art facility with four ice pads, a pub over looking the rink, pro shop and beautiful park grounds. This year parents and hockey fans will enjoy our "NO GATE FEE!" access to the games. Each team will be guaranteed five games. The top eight teams, by points regardless of division, will advance to the Sunday quarterfinals for the “A” pool series. The bottom eight will advance into the “B” pool series. It will take seven games of top-notch competition to win the cup so the team that takes all will be crowned the best in North America.
Interested teams are asked to email or call for applications. Team records in head to head competition with the strongest teams will be considered and only the best will be able to enter.
