Chuck Continued...

We've just been through me having a week off between Christmas and New Years. The weather was wonderful after a storm on Dec 23rd. The moon was beautiful all week. 9:30 pm is last feed for the horses and usually walk time for the dogs. The moon on the snow was truly amazing, the air cold & crisp - just how I like it. I'm not sure if we have ever had more snow on the flat between the house and the barn. The Dec 23rd storm led to a wild truck ride to Glencoe for India & myself. We had to get Christmas groceries and a part for the toilet (why is it, the toilet breaks when you are expecting company?) The roads were all of a foot deep on the flat with drifts that came over the hood of the truck. We were lucky and happy when we got back in the laneway.

Christmas was fun with little Jake & baby Noelle. As always I ate too much and now am back on the weight loss kick :{

Hockey is going pretty well, with Wesley showing much improvement. Colton is busy with Baseball school, dirt biking and working for Grandpa Vern in the bush.

The horses have taken a back seat for the moment because of the weather, but I'm confident they will be ready when the weather and ground is good in the Spring. We hope to do a bunch of trail riding this Summer, as the horses are now old enough for a bit of extra work.

Hope this finds everybody Healthy & Happy :)
Chuck

India Continued...

So some of my Highlights of 2004 included...
A Dishwasher! (I'm 37 & it's my first) Definately a highlight I'd say.
A Cement Barn Floor! Sure beats sweeping dirt, but harder on the corn broom!
A Big New Fridge! I think my last one was older than me!

Now I know you are thinking...geeze this girl doesn't get out much, if these are the year's highlights, but I have to say it's lifes simple things that "turn my crank". These three things have brought joy & simplicity to my everyday routine!

Colton has grown up sooo much this past year. He's now 14 & in High School. He's taller & bigger than me now & I think he could "take me"...but he doesn't need to know that :)

Wesley is my full time job. He is playing on 2 hockey teams & sign's up for just about every extra school activity offered. His skating has improved ten-fold and he is a thrill to watch.

Chuck & I did get the young horses started, but the weather here dictates how much outdoor work we can do & it's not been on our side for weeks. I'm starting to crave some saddle time!

Gma has been so much fun around here. She's like having a teenage daughter. We are enjoying having her stay with us...even though we think she killed our Rabbit! (Just kidding...he was very, very old)

I love my life, my family, my work and my home. Thanks to all who make it that way.
This will be our place to keep you all up to speed, so if you have a photo you'd like to share, or news you'd like posted...just email me & I'll place it here.

Cheers :)
Indy
